Er war 1746 Diakon in Bietigheim, 1748 Diakon an der Leonhardskirche in Stuttgart und 1753 Spezialsuperintendent in Marbach. 1765 kam er in gleicher Stellung nach Calw. Ab 1776 war er Probst in Herbrechtingen.<br /> <br /> Er heiratete [[Heirat::1746]] in Nürtingen [[Verheiratet mit::Johanna Elisabetha Lang]], die Tochter des Nürtinger Stadtschreibers. Der Ehe entstammten 14 Kinder, von denen einige früh starben.
